My second week at Eventbrite I decided I wanted a linear stepped flow for event creation and spent a day redesigning the event creation flow and turning it into an initial wireframe with a hint of visual design. The design was envisioned as an interface ideal for both desktop and touch as I imagined a kiosk at a venue using this to create their event. More importantly, was the linear stepped approach that was a vertical scrolling stepped process. The original process required the event creator to navigate a left to right, zigzagging, stepped process that was slow as it required hunting for the next step to the unfamiliar user. A new design based off of this concept is now being tested in preparation of being rolled out to all users.
