Static Demo: Event Setup and Management

While working at Eventbrite I often found that I only needed a basic portion of the event management and ticketing platform offered. I wanted an "Eventbrite Lite" (EB Lite) which I was given the opportunity to work on as my personal project. My vision was a quick, get-in and get-out approach that stripped away a lot of the advanced features to focus on an efficient event creation and ticket purchase flow. I designed this with touch devices in mind as the simple flow would be ideal in a kiosk or in the hands of a door person.

The project turned from an explorative endeavor to being a functional product when Facebook tapped Eventbrite to offer paid tickets for Facebook events. My work on EB Lite was presented to Facebook who gave the go-ahead to build out and implement the system. Was very exciting to have my skunkworks project turned into the first system to offer direct ticketing to Facebook events.

Facebook Connect Once the event was created on Facebook you were taken to EB Lite to setup tickets for your Facebook event which started with a Facebook Connect if you weren't currently logged in or hadn't approved the EB Lite app on Facebook
Ticket Setup After connecting with Facebook a simple method to create tickets was presented that only required a ticket name, ticket price, and quantity available.
Payment Details Step 2 was a simple "tell us where to send the moeny" form. Physical checks were being cut initially as a means of inhibiting potential fraudulent use of the system.
Event Management The process of setting up ticketing for the Facebook event is complete and whenever the event holder connects to the EB Lite event they will be taken to their event management console. This area gives a quick overview of sales, allows for contacting attendees, viewing the attendee list, and issuing refunds
Contact Attendees Facebook events have several statuses for attending that this messaging system fully leverages. Contact everyone or just those that are attending, attending Unpaid, maybe attending, or are not attending.
Attendee List The list of all that are attending and have purchased tickets. This is where ticket refunding is performed as well.
Ticket Purchase When someone has indicated they will be attending a Facebook event that is a paid event they are provided with a link to purchase their tickets. This is the interface they are presented with. Select the quantity of each ticket type and the total will update in real-time including all fees.
Event Image If the Facebook event has a flyer image the system displays a thumbnail that when clicked brings up a larger version of the image in a lightbox format.
Billing Once tickets have been selected the billing information is collected
Purchase Confirmation Upon a successful purchase transaction the confirmation page verifying what was purchased and providing the opportunity to buy more tickets is presented.
