When Ping Identity purchased a 6 person startup based in Tel Aviv to add MFA to their product offerings I was tasked with taking their rudimentary proof of concept app they had and turn it into a real product in 2014. This as at a time when biometrics weren't as common yet and the requirement was to have the user use a gesture to authenticate instead of the basic "Approve" and "Deny" buttons. I designed the slider and prototyped the interface in Facebook's Origami to have spring and inertia. If you didn't swipe up quickly it would snap back, but when you swiped with intent it felt like you were moving a physical object.
